We are so excited to be here with you on this vintage trailer journey! This all started with a dream and an old, broken-down vintage trailer. I used to drool over the cute little canned-hams in magazines and books, never dreaming that I would one day have one of my own. Maybe you are doing the same?
I am here to tell you from experience that even if you have no practical skills, a tight budget and a busy life, you too can have one of these adorable beauties of your own one day. If I can do it, so can you!
On my own journey, it seemed darned near impossible to find good information. At the time, there was one magazine that catered to enthusiasts, Vintage Camper Trailer Magazine. Their content was great...except I barely understood it. It was definitely aimed at the "expert" level, men with lots of skill and experience with carpentry, power tools and RVs. I certainly was not that person!
I spent hours watching tedious videos online, trying to find a nugget of wisdom. Scouring multiple forums, chat groups and Facebook groups, I struggled to find information I could use. A lot of it referenced the RV world, which I had never been exposed to. Wisdom was shared piecemeal, here and there, if you could find it and decode it. Confusing and confounding is what it was! Arghhhh!
What about the rest of us? What about someone like me: a woman with no background knowledge, woodworking skills, or experience with RVs?

That is why, dear reader, Atomic Trailer Chicks was created. I wanted to bring smart, easily understood advice to those of us without skills or experience. I gear much of my content towards women, but this is an inclusive space. Everyone is welcome and respected: newbies, wannabes, men, women and beyond.
I hope that sharing my story-with all its trials, tribulations and triumphs-will inspire you. I made a lot of mistakes on my journey so that you can learn from them. I hope what I share makes your own journey a little bit easier and a lot more fun.
Let's get started, shall we? Happy Atomic Trails!
Much love,
Cindee
